Quick Chunky Beanie – Free Crochet Pattern

Ravelry // Etsy // All Free Crochet // Pinterest // Fave Crafts

It’s almost Winter here in my corner of the world, and as someone who lived without heat last Winter season, I personally know how absolutely COLD it can really get outside. The thicker clothes are always the ones that kept me warm, and beanies are no exception.

When I created this pattern, I wanted something that anyone could make in an hour or less, that was warm and thick, and could be made to adjust to all sizes and ages. This beanie ended up being perfect for just that.

I had purchased a few skeins of Lion Brand Mandala Thick and Quick from a local buy & sell group, and honestly didn’t know why I did it or what to do with it. I thought the colors were hideous (I got the colorway Swirl), so I decided to make a bunch of hats to donate to the homeless shelter in my town. Homeless shelters are never short of the need for winter items, so this quick and fun project is perfect for just that.
